Selenite, a translucent to opaque white crystalline variety of gypsum, presents a soft, moon-like sheen across its surface. This oval cabochon features a slightly domed, polished face and a naturally flat, unpolished back. A delicate mineral, it ranks 2 on the Mohs scale, making it one of the softest crystals, easily scratched.
