I wanted to share something personal with you. There's a family-run crystal shop in Temecula called Bliss Crystals — I've been going there for years. Jillian and her mom Jan worked together in the crystal industry for more than two decades, after Jan opened the original storefront in NYC after 9/11. In 2002, my mother Jan opened a crystal shop in Manhattan after September 11th, because people needed something solid to hold. She called me in England — I was finishing my degree at Leeds — and said: "People need healing. Come home and help me."

That was 22 years ago. We built Bliss Crystals together in California in 2010, and you've come into our Winchester Rd showroom (opened 2023) at the Commons for jewelry, for the Halotherapy salt room, for our weekly live shows, for community.

In March 2025, my mother passed from breast cancer. Eleven months later, in January 2026, my stepfather Dick — also our CFO — passed too. They were the ones holding the financial side of this business together for me. The store is still open every day. The miners we work with are still being paid on time. The staff is still here. But the overhead at our newer Winchester Rd showroom is now greater than our current revenue, and that gap is mine alone to close.

We've launched a community campaign to raise $30,000 by Mother's Day — a bridge to stabilize while we rebuild. My mother Jan opened the first storefront of what would become Bliss Crystals in Manhattan in 2002, in the months after September 11th. The shop wasn't really about crystals at first — it was a place where a city in pain could come and hold something solid. People walked in for the quiet, not the rocks.

She called me in England, where I was finishing my degree at Leeds, and said: "People need healing. Come home and help me." I came home. We built Bliss Crystals together in California in 2010, opened the Halotherapy Dry Salt Room, launched our Museum Bar of rare crystals (the first in the Inland Empire), and grew a customer base of 150,000+ over the partnership's run, ethically sourcing from miners on five continents. Our current Winchester Rd showroom opened in 2023.

Last year, the founders passed inside fourteen months of each other.

But the overhead at our newer 2023 Winchester Rd showroom is now greater than our current revenue. That gap is what we're working to close — not legacy debt, but the operational math of a bigger space we expanded into right before the founders passed.

We've launched a community campaign with a $30,000 short-term goal by Mother's Day. The campaign isn't a hand-out — it's a way for the community we've served for 24 years to participate in keeping the doors open while we rebuild. Subscribers get a monthly box and a permanent founder discount. Donors get a thank-you and our gratitude. Sharers get our undying appreciation.
