This is an exceptional lot of hard-to-find, Grade A tumbled Red Ruby (aka Corundum) that were custom, hand made for Bliss Crystals in South Africa by native craftsmen. Gem quality is a different type that is completely translucent, but these are opaque which make them very affordable for the size.
