Raised in butterfly farms in Peruvian rainforests, these butterflies grow in
their native environment where they live out the entirety of their natural
lives. Once their lifecycle is complete, they are collected by the farmers
and placed in frames by local artisans. These frames create a
sustainable ecosytem and provide fair income for the artisans and
families. Most frames are labeled by a licensed biologist with the
scientific name(s) of the butterflies. Although spectacularly colored and
patterned, the butterflies are in the common butterfly family and not
endangered. The frames look best in natural light and is best to keep
them out of direct sunlight and/or moist environments
