Tiffany Stone is one of those harder to find crystals that has many names. It is variously known as Porcelanite Jasper, Purple Opal, Purple Passion, Tiffany Stone, Bertrandite, Opal Fluorite, Beryllium Ore and Passion Stone (my favorite!) But I think the most popular name is Tiffany Stone since it is reminiscent of both Tiffany Lamps and a baby's name (so feminine and pretty right?) This stone has an interesting history since it used to be mined for the tips of missiles since it is impervious to heat. The color patterns remind me of stained glass or mosaics. that is so lovely with marble like swirls of purple, ivory and other soft earthtones. This is an excellent shape for making jewelry, inlay work and crafting of all sorts. It is very difficult to find Tiffany Stone in this size, so it is a great find indeed!
Tiffany Stone is metaphysically a "high vibration" crystal that is famed for helping one develop psychic abilities as well as enhance sexual desire and passion. Mmmmmm...got to love that.
