This Banded Carnelian/Sardonyx sphere is polished to a smooth finish, highlighting the rich layers of orange, white, red and brown that flow naturally through the stone. Includes a small ring stand.

Carnelian is known for its warm orange to reddish tones and is traditionally associated with vitality, creativity, and motivation. When Carnelian forms with visible banding of lighter or darker hues, it is often referred to as Banded Carnelian. Sard is a closely related variety, generally darker in tone, with deep reddish-brown to brownish hues. When Sard or Carnelian displays contrasting layers of white chalcedony, it is often called Sardonyx, prized for its striking striped appearance.
