Chalcedony has a fairylike feeling to it, and is found in a spectrum of colors. It is a form of Quartz and a member of the Agate family so it is also known by various names. This fantastic green type is called Chrome Chalcedony and it is found only in Zimbabwe. The green color is due to the mineral Chromium and is often mistaken for Jade. It will be a welcome and rare addition to any collection.
Chalcedony as a metaphysical stone was used by Native Americans as a ritual stone to promote "brotherhood" among tribes. Ideal if you want to create positive, benevolent group energy, allowing hostilities to dissipate and generosity to grow.
Tumbled stones are smaller pieces of crystals or rocks that have been processed in a rock tumbler with water, sand, and grit. Over weeks in a tumbler, the stone edges and surfaces become smooth and sometimes highly polished to bring out the beauty of the stone. The pleasing shape and size of tumbled stones make them desirable as more inexpensive and usable crystals.
