This is an exceptional and RARELY AVAILABLE lot of gorgeous, gemmy Green Vesuvianite with a very uplifting and positive energy! They are simply beyond beautiful! These mottled green stones are large, chunky, and generously sized for medicine bags, jewelry, and healing grids. They have a smooth feel in the hand and are beautifully polished. The color is medium jade green with interesting mottled designs, making them very unusual.
Known variously as Californite, California Jade, and Idocrase, it is truly Vesuvianite, originally discovered near Mt. Vesuvius in Italy. It is also found in Canada, Russia, California USA, and Tanzania, each area imbuing it with unique colors and formations depending on the geology. This type, often mistaken for Jade and hence named "California Jade," is not actually Jade.
