Prasiolite is a very special type of all natural Amethyst from Brazil that is naturally green and often mixed with white quartz. Most of this batch is a soft olive green with a soft mottled pattern and a few have a more pronounced chevron pattern. Prasiolite is the gemologist's term for Green Amethyst - it comes from the Greek word meaning "Leek Stone" or Green Stone. It is a wonderful gemstone because it is durable and scratch resistant enough for daily wear with a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale.
Prasiolite is a Heart Chakra stone and known a "Stone of Transformation" especially with regard to psychic powers and shamanic journeying. It is also an amplifier of positive energy.
