Notes From My Professional Experience
In my healing practice, I use Amethyst every day. It is one of the Essential Eleven stones for any healing collection. It is a natural tranquilizer for cooling down the mind and emotions and alleviating a multitude of physical, mental and emotional imbalances. Overall it is a healer beyond measure for practically everything (except lethargy and all symptoms relating to a lack of energy). This is because it tends to balance rather than uplift or energize. Amethyst is particularly well known to treat addictions on all levels and it provides a protective shield around the aura against psychic attack or negativity.
Hematite It is the premier grounding stone that can quickly help one get "back down to earth" during any stress, panic, overwork, fatigue, overindulgence, distraction or trauma. I wear a Hematite bracelet daily when I work with thousands of crystals and their energies to keep myself from getting too "buzzed" by all that fabulous energy.
Hematite (along with Black Tourmaline) is my first line of defense against taking on the disease or disharmony of my surroundings. And it works beautifully. Sometimes, if I do become overworked or feel stressed, I simply lie down and put Hematite crystals on both feet and in both hands (4 in all). After about 5 minutes of breath awareness meditation, the crystals have calmed me down where my nerves feel back in balance.
The charm symbolizes the Fertility Goddess in Pagan and Wiccan spirituality, as well as in many other faiths and cultures. The Spiral Goddess has become perhaps the best known modern symbol of the Divine Feminine; and both the spiral and the moon are strongly associated with Her. The moon is the symbol of the Goddess, and its three phases – waxing, full, and waning – relate to the three aspects of Maiden, Mother, and Crone.
